Property Management and Development
TCI launched Safe Storage Management Company in 1996 to handle all real estate activities relating to self storage at this site, including property management and development. TCI provided the initial startup capital and necessary operating and expansion capital as Safe Storage evolved. TCI helped shape the overall market strategy, securing new management contracts and organizing the initial management team. Currently, SMMC helps develop and staff other self storage operations around the country.
THOMAS TRADE CENTER, HONOLULU
Property Development
TCI master planned the industrial/retail mixed use development along vibrant Dillingham Boulevard in downtown Honolulu Hawaii. TCI redeveloped the site that became Thomas Trade Center, with retail frontages and industrial warehousing space. TCI designed and developed the mixed use site, including 935, 1001, and 1007 Dillingham Boulevard. A new Self storage facility was built in 2009 at 935 Dillingham Boulevard and now operates under the local brand Dillingham Boulevard Self Storage.

Consulting Services
Platinum Storage of Newport California has been a longtime associate of Thomas Capital Investments. TCI assisted Platinum Storage with its first Northern California (Oakland, California) development, situated along Interstate 880 across from the Oakland Coliseum.

ALOHA ISLAND SELF STORAGE, HONOLULU
Consulting Services
Aloha Island Self Storage, King and Kalakaua, is owned by Aloha/King LLC, founded in Mississippi by the York family. Architectural design was provided by self storage specialist Bruce Jordan of Newport CA. TCI was called upon to act as conduit between the York family and Central Pacific Bank, providing financial consulting services that helped restructure the company's $18 million debt and equity structure. TCI introduced Extra Space Storage REIT of Salt Lake City, Utah, that currently owns and manages the property.
EQUITY BASED SERVICES (EBS)
Consulting Services
Equity Based Services of San Diego, ca engaged Thomas Capital Investments to assist with reorganization of their 77-facility nationwide self storage portfolio. TCI assisted EBS with their first Northern California acquisitions in Sonoma County and introduced the company to Extra Space Storage REIT, William Warren Group, and Caster family’s A-1 Self Storage for prospective acquisition of all or a portion of the EBS portfolio.
